Manufacturer improves security
19 September 2016
Physical security supplier Securikey has teamed up with City Lock And Safe to supply their high quality products and expertise to Stockport based manufacturer Arden Dies & Tooling.
One of the largest sites in Europe for die and tooling manufacture, Arden Dies offer a comprehensive range of services in supplying full tooling packages for products as diverse as cartons, corrugated packaging, membrane switches, flexible circuits and greetings cards. In 2013, Arden Dies invested £430,000 to expand their production facilities in order to keep pace with rising demand, investing in new laser cutting and engraving machinery as well as refurbishing part of their factory in Marple, Stockport. During these improvements, Managing director Martin Poynter decided that improved physical assets should be matched by improved security in order to protect this recent investment.
In partnership with premier locksmith City Lock & Safe, Securikey supplied two 48 Capacity Key Vaults, two 100 Capacity Key Vaults and Two Size 2 Mini Vaults to Arden's purpose-built 3000 square metre facility.
George Clarke, managing director of City Lock & Safe, says that the Securikey safes and key cabinets were chosen specifically for their high quality and durability.
Built from a heavy duty steel with a double walled construction, the Mini Vault Gold FR is durable and fire resistant and suitable for storing vital documents and, the key vaults, also made from steel, feature locking by security deadlock and can be further secured by incorporating the cabinet into an existing suited system.
Another important feature of the key vault is the five pin Euro profile cylinder which can be easily changed in seconds should the integrity of the unit be breached; an important feature for a busy organisation like Arden Dies which runs 24 hours a day with over 120 members of staff.
