Improving occupational health

The dBadge2, a personal noise dosimeter and the Apex2, a personal sampling pump for dust monitoring individually demonstrate outstanding developments that will improve occupational health across many industries. The Airwave App supporting both products is the only tool of its kind providing remote control for the dust and noise monitoring devices.

The App enables users to remotely start, pause or stop a measurement run, monitor battery life and memory capacity, check measurement progress and alarms direct from a mobile device without having to disturb the worker, ultimately improving productivity levels.  Near real-time status updates are provided and data can be emailed alongside photos and notes, adding context to the data and further simplifying the reporting process. This remote access facility makes monitoring and the collection of data much easier.

The dBadge2 personal noise dosimeter measures every possible noise exposure related parameter during a measurement run, with the information available for subsequent download and analysis, ultimately allowing the Occupational Hygienist to assess risk or recommend control measures.

The Apex2 personal sampling pump range allows accurate and reliable monitoring of exposure to dusts in a variety of industrial workplaces. The product range includes the Apex 2, Apex 2 Plus and Apex 2 Pro, all featuring different functionality to meet varying requirements.

Both the dBadge2 and Apex2 are designed to be unobtrusive to the wearer and the tasks they are performing, but if a worker does remove the pump, it is registered via a motion sensor to ensure that the final data is correct.
