Can you tell us more about what Ignite CPD is?

IgniteCPD is a brand new streaming platform that offers CPD with content focused around health and safety and fire safety. So effectively, it's like a Netflix for health and safety and fire safety professionals. Western Business Media has a long history of producing excellent conference and webinar sessions and this service enables professionals to access them all in the same place in this one-stop-shop for education and CPD.

What are the benefits of taking an Ignite CPD subscription?

Subscribers to Ignite CPD will have access to over 240 webinars that are already available and are all CPD accredited. Every user will be able to access 240 plus webinars on there and get an individual CPD certificate with a name on it for each one they attend.

Effectively, Ignite CPD is an on-demand CPD best practice training hub for health, safety, wellbeing and fire safety professionals. The content on there is delivered by experts and we're putting on a huge number of extra sessions throughout the year.

Does Ignite CPD offer personalised CPD?

Yes, absolutely. The website is fully searchable so you can access the content that interests you the most. If you watch the whole webinar, you will get a CPD certificate put straight into your MyDashboard where we store it for you on a platform and you can download each certificate of each one that you want or you can store it online on a platform and it's personalised with your name on and it's CPD accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.

What content is on the platform?

The content is split into two different verticals, health and safety and fire safety webinars. As I mentioned earlier, it's fully searchable, so you can do it via category type, so you can filter between health and safety and fire safety webinars.

There are subsections like asbestos, construction, PPE - that’s just on the health and safety side. On the fire safety side, there's passive fire protection, risk assessments, fire detection systems, but if you don't want to search via filter, you could also just search by keyword. You could just search confined spaces and up would come a number of webinars. As I said, at the moment we've got 245 webinars, but this is increasing as we go. Also, it's not just our past health and safety matters and fire safety matters webinars that are on there, also recordings from all the previous seminar sessions at health and safety matters live conferences and fire safety matters live conferences are on there as well. 

How often is new content added to Ignite CPD?

We're expecting to add 150 new webinars each year. So we started off with 245 and across a 12 month period, we're looking to add about another 150.

That will be a mixture of all of our webinars on demand that we've run through Health and Safety Matters and Fire Safety Matters over the next year. But also, as I said a moment ago, we're going to be recording all of the upcoming sessions for the Fire Safety Matters Live and Health and Safety Matters Live events in Coventry, Manchester, London, Scotland and Leeds and they will all be put through the Ignite CPD platform. So if you can't get to the events, or if you’re based overseas, you can access these sessions after the events are finished.

How will this effect viewers of HSM and FSM webinars?

That's a great question. Ultimately, it doesn't affect if you want to watch our webinars for free live. So, if you see an upcoming Health and Safety Matters webinar and Fire Safety Matters webinar, you can still register to watch it for free live. But you can no longer access the on-demand service for free.

You would have to join Ignite CPD for that. This has been done after consultation with our audience through multiple surveys. And as we're doing so many webinars now, we needed a fully searchable platform. With 245 already past webinars, rather than having to register 245 times for each one, you can now register once and have access to all of our current webinars and all of our future Health and Safety and Fire Safety webinars on demand. So you can still sign up for free to watch the webinars live, but if you want to access the on-demand service to watch at any time, then you'll need to subscribe to Ignite CPD. And of course, the benefit there is if you just signed to Ignite CPD, then you'll be able to access every webinar that we do on demand anyway.

How much does it cost to subscribe to Ignite CPD?

It costs £299 plus VAT for an annual subscription. We only offer an annual subscription but the value there is huge.It's equivalent to £25 a month for accessing 245 webinars with 150 new added each year. We came to this price point after consultation with the audience and we think it offers great value and the platform offers something like, there's nothing else like it. in the market. 

Can I share an account?

We don't mind if you share an account with your colleagues, but if CPD is important to you, the name on a certificate will be the name of the main account holder. So if two or more people are sharing accounts, there'll only be one person's name on a CPD and it'll be the name of the account holder. So if CPD is important to you, then you would have to have multiple accounts to do that. So each individual could have their own CPD certificate. And we do offer a discount for five or more subscriptions for a company.
