Environmental noise monitoring
23 January 2014
Walter Forshaw, a company with more than 80 years experience in the demolition, dismantling and haulage industry, turned to Casella when it wanted to upgrade its noise monitoring equipment.
Forshaw needed to monitor the environmental noise adjacent to its demolition sites for continuous periods to ensure that the work it was conducting was not inconveniencing neighbours unduly.
Operations manager Jeremy Wolstencroft said: "We wanted to be able to assess the noise levels at our sites throughout the course of each day and also to leave the units unmanned, if possible. Casella’s CEL-633 sound level meter allows us to do both.”
He continued: "It is extremely easy to operate and the software is much improved compared to earlier Casella generations.”
