The versatile UBIX temporary roof
system from Combisafe
International has provided
protection to a 300m2 archeological
dig site of two Roman ditches and a
team of archaeologists at St Barts in
London - England's oldest hospital.
The system allows the archeologists to work unaffected by the weather, and enable vital construction work to continue as soon as possible.
To cover the 20 x 13m trench, Generation Hire and Sale supplied two UBIX roofs measuring 12 x 12m and 14 x 12m, which could be moved using Combisafe's innovative RunWay track system.
With the use of the UBIX system, the site was able to benefit from quick and easy handling and simple erection. Requiring no specialist tools or lifting gear, it was easily assembled by a small team. With boltless fixings and loose components eliminated, all parts snap together for rapid process.
