Industrial telescopic tower
01 November 2016
TB Davies has introduced the X-Tower, which the company says is both the world’s first industrial telescopic tower and the world’s tallest telescopic tower.
As with all the products it supplies, safety is a key consideration. Built from the ground within three minutes to a platform of 2.8m (with a working height of 4.8m), it means the user is never exposed to a fall whilst erecting it.
The sturdy design is created to avoid problems with jamming, and with ease of use in mind. The X-tower base is completely captive with no loose parts, set on four locking castors that can be adjusted for use on uneven ground. The X-tower has only two parts – the tower and the folding, anti-slip platform with a trap door. According to TB Davies, it couldn’t be simpler or safer to operate.
This industrial quality tower is designed for use in demanding environments and is said to be an ideal option for both site maintenance and the hire industry.
The X-Tower is just one of an extensive and innovative range of solutions that are redesigning podiums to keep professionals safe when working at height including the Raptor, Profort Xtend and Sherpascopic ranges.
