Sound & vibration meters
28 March 2014
Svantek’s pocket-sized SVAN 971 Sound Level Meter and Analyser is a lightweight and up-to-the-minute Class 1 instrument.
Advanced characteristics include audio event recording, detachable pre-amp and microphone, and a dosimeter function.
Conforming to IEC 61672-1 standard, the 971 is suitable for industrial hygiene, short period environmental, and general acoustic noise measurement. It provides 1/1 octave and 1/3 octave analysis, has a high-contrast colour OLED-type display and can be successfully operated in a wide range of temperatures and environments.
Also available is the SVAN 977 Type 1 sound and vibration instrument. It has the ability to record results in three acoustic or vibration profiles, so that measurements can be performed with three separate filters and three distinct detector time constants. Lightweight and robust, the 977 is simple to use and works equally effectively in workplace health and safety and/or environmental monitoring.
Both the 971 and 977 provide broadband results with all the standard weighting filters and offer an impressive time/history logging capability.
