Giving the fire service a lift

Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service has extended its relationship with Stertil Koni with an order for nine hydraulic vehicle lifts. These include two 25- tonnes capacity lifts and another rated at 7 tonnes and a set of six 8.2 tonnes wireless mobile column lifts.

The ST 4250 4 post 25-tonne lifts were supplied with 11.5 metres platforms and the design of these 4 post lifts eliminates the need for cross beams, ensuring unobstructed access for operatives and tools to both vehicles and the lift itself. The ST 4250 offers a maximum lift height of 1.9 metres achievable in 72 seconds.

The 8.2 tonnes capacity ST 1082W wireless mobile lifting columns are said to be among the fastest in the world. With no power or communication cables to connect, setup time is drastically reduced. and each column has its own control box and provides a lifting capacity of 8200kg. This means that the system's total lifting capacity may be increased simply by adding more columns.

The ST 1082W ensures safe lifting up to a height of 1.85 metres which can be reached in just 89 seconds.
