Waste 2 Resources is constructing
two state-of-the-art waste treatment
facilities in Leyland and Thornton in
partnership with waste processing
specialist Global Renewables to
deliver a waste management contract
for Lancashire County Council and
Blackpool Council.
Stertil Stokvis has been awarded a contract worth almost £1.5m to supply external doors and shutters at the sites, including its Ultra Tough M & I Doors, insulated roller shutters and personnel doors.
The Ultra Tough M & I Door has heavy duty side frames, thick rubber curtain and Windlok design to form a near-airtight seal that can resist wind pressures up to hurricane force. The system has a special rubber profile incorporated into each vertical edge of the door curtain. When the heavy duty front channel is closed, the Windlok is tightly secured. As wind pressure is put on the door area, the door panel locks into place. The more pressure, the better the seal.
