Telehandler product adds to height safety

03 April 2017

Contact Attachments has designed and supplied Cawarden Brick, the UK supplier of reclaimed period building materials, with a bespoke Man Riding Cage available from its dedicated Telehandler range.

Available in a choice of widths and constructed with a heavy-duty design, the cage mounts directly onto a range of telehandlers to allow users to operate safely at height. Contact Attachments developed a bespoke product for Cawarden Brick measuring 2400mm wide and fitted with ‘step through’ rails to allow easy access and a protective barrier to provide added security. The style of platform also enabled the firm to quickly and safety fit it to its Caterpillar telehandler, and use alongside a telehandler which has pallet tines fitted.

Adam Giles of Cawarden Brick, said: “Everything from emailing an enquiry, to getting delivery of the Man Cage to our site, was first class. The service from Contact Attachments was second to none throughout the whole process and everything we required was taken care of with no problem.

“When we received it, we were pleased with the build quality and the team has praised it as a useful product.”

The Man Riding Cage is fully compliant with HSE Guidance Note PM28 (fourth edition), to certify that all safety aspects of the platform are fulfilled.

Contact Attachments’ Man Riding Cage is also available with full length fork pockets, harness anchorage points for added operator safety, as well as anti-slip flooring and kick rails on each side to prevent items falling out from height.
