Animations up for award

This was all part of finding engaging ways to communicate with their staff to ensure information is read and remembered. After a number of possible routes were considered, an animated approach was chosen. This choice was built on years of research that points to cartoons being able to help people both engage with and remember what’s on screen.  

And so an animated character, affectionately called “TC”, was introduced to TC people. He along with some of his friends, host a series of short and easily accessible “Toolbox Talks”, bringing a serious message with a dose of fun.  

Less than 12 months on, almost 20 Talks are now available and are a finalist in Tomorrow’s FM 2017 awards. You can meet TC and if you think he’s worthy of your vote for the awards then you can cast your vote in favour of ToolboxTalks –TC Facilities Management in the hope of taking one of the top three slots in this award programme.

Peter Clay, training & development manager, TCFM said: “The feedback we are getting regarding the Toolbox Talk videos from across the business has been very positive and has proved to be a great way of making sessions such as our initial training more fun and less formal. This is particularly important with regards to providing them with extra information on how to handle a variety of work related situations safely and effectively.”
