Supertouch appoints managing director
26 May 2016
Supertouch, the personal protective equipment (PPE) and workwear specialist, has appointed Sarah Bridge as managing director for its UK operations.
Based at the Supertouch National Distribution Centre in the West Midlands, the role will see Bridge take responsibility for the organisation’s growth and development across supply chain, logistics and the sales and marketing division, supporting customers across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
With a wealth of experience in safety and PPE, Bridge joins Supertouch from her previous 13 year position at Polyco, where she led the growth and development of the B2B side of the business. In December 2014 she retired from her post of five years as chairman of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF), which represents the interests of manufacturers and distributors of PPE in the UK, making her the perfect candidate for the Supertouch business.
Parvez Akhtar, chairman at Supertouch, said: “Sarah is a very experienced and highly regarded individual within the industry and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.
“We are currently seeing significant growth, and Sarah’s appointment will help us to achieve the next level within the PPE and workwear sector, while ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our valued UK customer base.”
Bridge added: “I am genuinely excited to join Supertouch at this key stage in its growth. The recent business developments and new product introductions are building a strong foundation for the brand, and I am looking forward to strengthening our position in this pivotal market.”
