Landmark RoSPA win

19 May 2016

Lorien Engineering Solutions is celebrating a landmark success in the 60th year of the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016.

The company, based in Burton upon Trent, achieved the Order of Distinction award (24 consecutive Golds), in addition to the Gold Award for Fleet Safety in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Lorien’s health and safety manager Elliot Follows will be presented with the awards during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel in July.

Elliot said: “It is both an honour and a reflection on the company’s long standing commitment to health and safety at work that we have achieved our 24th consecutive Gold Award, alongside improving our Fleet Safety Award from Silver last year to Gold.

“These awards are proof of the commitment from the entire team at every level within Lorien to continually improving all aspects of Health and Safety in the workplace.”

RoSPA is celebrating 60 years of presenting highly-regarded and sought after accolades to businesses and organisations which have shown commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.

Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
