Senior team given boost
01 December 2015
Bonasystems, the specialist in floorcare chemical products and services, has appointed two high profile industry figures to boost its senior leadership team and further its ambitious growth plans.
Scientist Dr Steve Thorpe, widely-accepted as the UK’s leading slip and trip expert and chairman of the UK Slip Resistance Group, has been appointed head of risk. Also joining the company as business development director is John Wright, previously director of business development (facilities services) at facilities management leaders, OCS.
Both appointments are part of a new drive to consolidate Bonasystems’ market share in sectors such as leisure and retail, whilst expanding into new sectors including education, healthcare and hospitality. Bonasystems’ turnover has quadrupled since 2011, winning significant contracts with companies such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Hilton Worldwide.
Dr Thorpe will be working with Bonasystems’ clients to deliver strategies to identify, prevent and solve slipping issues. Steve spent 28 years working for the Health and Safety Laboratory (part of the Health and Safety Executive) including the last 16 years working on slips, trips and falls and latterly stair falls.
John Wright will take overall responsibility for growing Bonasystems’ client base, moving into new markets and developing existing client relationships. He will also be responsible for its regional sales manager network throughout the UK.
