Evac+Chair International's latest evacuation chair, the 500 model, has a payload capacity of 228kgs/500lbs.
The new design allows for smooth transportation on steep inclines of 45 reducing the strain on its operators.
The lightweight frame has generated additional savings to accommodate supplementary features such as a footrest, which can be used as a support handle in a two-person operation and foldaway handles for extra support. The width of the frame has increased and padded patient restraint straps added allowing any individual below the specified weight to be safely transported.
Evac+Chair provide comprehensive training tailored to their customers and their environments, ensuring they are fully equipped and prepared on all matters of safety for mobility impaired people and those assisting. Having the correct equipment to support evacuation is not the only point for consideration; companies should also identify any hazards and have a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) in place which is required in accordance with the fire safety legislation.
