Svantek's 971 and 977 sound and vibration meters are new for 2013.

The pocket-sized SVAN 971 Sound Level Meter and Analyser is a handy, up-to-the-minute, lightweight, Class 1 instrument. Features include audio event recording, detachable pre-amp and microphone, and a dosimeter function. Conforming to IEC 61672-1 standard, the 971 is suitable for industrial hygiene, short period environmental, and general acoustic noise measurement.
The SVAN 977 Type 1 sound and vibration instrument, has the ability to record results in three acoustic or vibration profiles, so that measurements can be performed with three separate filters and three distinct detector time constants. Lightweight and robust, the 977 is simple to use to measure and analyse both sound and vibration in workplace health and safety and/or environmental monitoring.
Both the 971 and 977 provide broadband results with all the standard weighting filters and offer an impressive time/history logging capability.
