Stertil Stokvis has supplied and
installed eight loading bays for Royal
Mail Group as part of an exclusive
supplier three-year contract.
Opened in 2012, the 15,400m2 Mail Centre occupies a 5.4hectare site on the edge of Strood town centre with easy access from the nearby M2 motorway. The Centre has been designed to incorporate the latest environmentally sustainable technologies and the use of highlyautomated sorting equipment enables the Centre to process over three million mail items every day.
To support this highly efficient operation, the loading bays were supplied and installed to speed the loading and unloading of a diverse range of vans, trucks and lorries.
