Are you a budding photographer? Then enter now for the Cirrus Research 2012 'Noise in Action' photography competition.
Cirrus Research, an expert in noise measurement, has launched its 2012 'Noise in Action' photography competition to help raise money for its 2012 charity of choice, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Cirrus Research is looking for interesting, unusual and imaginative images of 'Noise in Action'. This could be anything from a Cirrus Research product being used in an obscure or picturesque place, to a photograph creatively illustrating noise, noise measurement or the impact of noise.
All the images will be entered into a draw and a final twelve will then be selected to feature in the Cirrus Research 2013 charity calendar that will be on sale from the end of October 2012. All funds raised will be donated to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity and a world leader in the training of hearing dogs. The role of a hearing dog is to alert deaf people to everyday household sounds and danger signals in the home, work place and in public buildings. The charity's mission is to offer deaf individuals greater independence, confidence and companionship by providing a fully trained hearing dog to alert them to chosen everyday sounds.
Hearing dogs also help remove the isolation, stress and anxiety that deafness can often bring to individuals. In a public domain, a hearing dog can be identified by its distinctive burgundy jacket, which helps to increase visibility and awareness to hearing loss.
The twelve winning images will appear in the 2013 charity calendar with the winning image featuring on the front page. The overall winner will receive a £150 Amazon voucher and the eleven runners up will each win a £50 Amazon voucher.
