Shawcity sponsor headline act at SHE Awards 2020
13 January 2020
SHAWCITY HAS continued its longstanding support of the Safety & Health Excellence Awards by signing up to be the official sponsor of this year’s awards host Hugh Dennis.
The Awards themselves will be presented at a gala dinner at The Vox, Resorts World Birmingham on 29 April 2020. This year’s Awards will be hosted by popular comedian Hugh Dennis, best known for being a team captain on the BBC’s Mock the Week and the lead actor in the BBC sitcom Outnumbered.
Shawcity sponsored last year’s SHE Awards host Sean Lock and were quick to sign up to support the Awards again this year. The Oxfordshire-based company are the UK and Ireland's leading independent supplier of instrumentation to hire or buy for Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Monitoring applications.
Shawcity’s Managing Director Neil O’Regan said: “We are delighted to have supported the SHE Awards from the very beginning. It is important to recognise and promote excellence in health and safety and we support everything the Awards stand for. There are so many businesses and individuals who work tirelessly to ensure workplaces are as safe as possible and it’s easy to forget that we are lucky the UK is world-leading in health and safety standards. We all know someone who faces some type of risk in the workplace, so those concerted efforts benefit us all in the long run.”
SHE Awards Event Director Mark Sennett added: “We are so grateful to Shawcity for their continuing support of the SHE Awards. Their commitment reflects their own dedication to bringing the latest monitoring technology to market to help employers achieve the highest levels of measurement and monitoring. This aligns so well with the SHE Awards mission, celebrating excellence and the key role that companies and individuals play in keeping people and premises safe.”
“Now in its third year, the SHE Awards continue to go from strength to strength with more than 550 people attending the 2019 event and over 200 award entries received. There’s still time for to enter the awards for free before the end of January. This is the perfect opportunity to gain recognition for yourself, a colleague, your company or a product for making a material difference to the safety of buildings or people.”
