Service collection
18 October 2017
Dr. Martens has been supplying workers worldwide with staple uniform footwear since the 1960s. To pay homage to the brand’s firmly rooted history, Dr. Martens has launched of its new service collection, which has been developed for the likes of uniformed workers, police officers, paramedics and security guards.
The new range is comprised of three collections: Response, DMs Lite and Lightweight Heritage.
Response
The Skelton and Attend have been designed to provide all-round protection, comfort and traction. These quick-response boots have a triple black finish to provide a clean, uniform appeal while the EVA midsole offers lightweight cushioning and flexibility. The engineered SoftWair sock-liner provides memory-foam cushioning at heel and forefoot while the raised grid pattern promotes underfoot airflow to keep your feet dry and ready for action. Moisture wicking linings and a padded collar further enhance the internal comfort.
DM’s Lite
New additions to the DM’s Lite range include the Watch 8-tie high-cut and Haste mid-cut utility boot, which have been engineered using athletic inspired industry materials and construction methods. Both styles are waterproof and breathable utilising DryWair technology and boast SoftWair cushioning and flexibility. The Griptrax outsoles provide optimum grip on varied surface conditions and are heat resistant to 300°C.
Lightweight Heritage
The Calshott 6” soft-toe work boot and Chelsea boot Howden are designed with premium materials delivering greater flexibility and enhanced cushioning. The sole is specifically designed to resist clogging while providing great durability and slip-resistance whatever the work-place. Both boots are made with soft, industrial-grade, tumbled leather uppers. The Calshott benefits from memory-foam ankle inserts and a padded tongue to deliver enhanced comfort levels.
Jon Marchant, global category manager at Dr. Martens, said: “The footwear needs for service sector professionals have changed dramatically over recent years and we wanted to create a range of performance styles that meet the specific, technical requirements that allow the individuals to focus on their role, not their feet.
“As a brand, we are fully focused on providing the correct footwear for service sectors across the globe by ensuring that our products deliver quality and are fit for the job.”
The new service collection is available in UK whole sizes 3-13 (Attend, Skelton, Howden, Calshott) and 6–13 (Haste, Watch).
