Supertouch appoints supply chain manager
23 September 2016
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and workwear specialist Supertouch has appointed Selwyn Smith as supply chain manager for the UK.
Smith will be based at the Supertouch national distribution centre in the West Midlands, where he will be responsible for leading the supply chain team that supports customers across the UK and Ireland.
He joins Supertouch from SiG plc where he was UK inventory manager. Smith’s career in supply chain began with ERA Security Products where he spent six years as supply chain manager before moving to the Epwin Group for a further six years as group procurement manager.
“Selwyn is an extremely experienced supply chain professional,” Supertouch MD Sarah Bridge said. “During 2016 we have experienced significant growth and Selwyn’s appointment will help us to advance further within the PPE and Workwear sector, while ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our valued UK customer base. We are all delighted to welcome Selwyn to the team.”
Smith added: “I’m really looking forward to joining Supertouch at this key stage in growth. The recent business developments and new product innovations are building a strong foundation for the organisation, and I’m eager to get started leading the supply chain operation.”
