BSIF new members update: Safety Technology
22 June 2015
Safety Technology based in Raglan, South Wales is a leading supplier of specialist equipment and training in fall arrest, PPE and rescue equipment to the utilities, telecom and renewable energy sectors.

In the words of Sarah Bridge, director of Safety Technology: "The company is at the core of safety in extreme environments.”
Founded in 2002, Safety Technology originally worked closely with the utilities and telecom industries supplying high quality fall arrest safety equipment and training. After a huge surge in wind energy in the UK, the company quickly recognised the need for skilled workers in the sector and began to develop a range of safety courses for the industry.
Safety Technology is now a RenewableUK and Global Wind Organisation (GWO) approved training provider offering a wide variety of courses including: RenewableUK approved Work at Height and Rescue (WAHR), Marine Safety Training (MST) courses, the full package of Global Wind Organisation (GWO) basic safety training, manual handling, fire awareness and first aid training.
A large number of industry leaders including; DONG Energy, Alstom, Nordex, Vestas, RWE NPower and Suzlon, WPD and SSE choose Safety Technology to train and equip their workers. The company also provides inspection, maintenance, vacuum packing and certification of safety systems and equipment.
Earlier this year, Safety Technology joined BSIF because the company wants to share its expertise with others in the health and safety community with the aim of strengthening the voice of the sector in government circles.
