Award for hammer drill

07 May 2014

Makita’s AVT (Anti Vibration Technology), which protects operators of heavy duty hammer drills and breakers from HAV risks, has been recognised with a prestigious health & safety award, presented by Speedy Integrated Services.

The new Makita HR4013C SDS-Max rotary hammer received the award for Best New Product in the annual awards initiative for the tool hire industry, which was presented recently at the Speedy Integrated Services Exhibition and Conference held at Telford International Centre.

The award was presented by Colin Naylor of Speedy Hire and received by Phil Bagshaw, key accounts manager, Makita UK.

Andy Connor, Speedy's supply chain director, said: "This product was chosen due to the fact that it significantly reduces vibration in use from previous models, extending the time that it can be safely continuously used. Not only that, but the product actually delivers improved efficiency in both drilling and chipping modes.”
