With the HSE estimating around
4000 asbestos related cancer deaths in
the UK each year, Scott Safety has
launched Phantom Vision, a new
mask mounted powered respirator. It
is reported that the Phantom Vision
will provide greater comfort and ease
of operation for users in any
application requiring powered or nonpowered
full facemask protection.
Combining a new lithium-ion battery, long-life brushless motor and electronics technology with the already popular Vision full facemask, the Phantom Vision can be used in a wide variety of demanding workplace environments including asbestos removal and nuclear decommissioning.
With its motor mounted inside the facemask, Phantom Vision significantly reduces the burden for the user and simplifies the decontamination process after use. The Phantom is available in three sizes offering high levels of comfort for the user and an unrestricted (98%) field of view.
