Enhanced sound level meter
03 April 2023
GLOBAL OCCUPATIONAL hygiene and workplace hazard monitoring expert, Casella, will be exhibiting at The Health and Safety Event on April 25-27 2023, NEC Birmingham, to showcase its new Enhanced 620 Sound Level Meter, marking the first time the product has been seen at an event, on stand 3/J10.
Excessive noise exposure is preventable, but the effects are permanent and prolonged exposure to dangerous levels of noise could prevent workers from operating at their best. Sound level meters offer an effective solution to measure noise, providing concrete data, and highlighting key areas for change.
Attendees of this year’s show will be able to see Casella’s advanced 620 Sound Level Meter’s first-hand. Equipped with market-leading features, the new device features voice notes, allowing recordings to be taken at the start of a measurement run, saving time and effort taking manual notes. Up to 33 hours of audio can be stored, alongside nearly 1,000 measurements up to 24 hours each, even with one second profiles, giving operators confidence that there will be sufficient memory without having to delete results on the go.
Casella’s latest innovation also offers time history profiling, enabling operators to see how noise has varied over a set period ranging from one second to 30 minutes, providing a greater understanding of the tasks that need to be controlled to manage workplace noise. The time history can be further analysed when downloaded, to perform ‘what if’ calculations on the effect of noise exposure when certain activities or noisy events are removed, ensuring more workers can receive optimal protection.
Casella’s product specialists will also be available to demonstrate its range of innovations for improving worker health, including its real-time dust monitors, personal noise dosimeters and environmental monitors.
“We are thrilled to be exhibiting at The Health and Safety Show,” says Tim Turney, Casella’s global marketing manager. “We invite visitors of the event to join us on stand 3/J10 to learn more about reducing occupational and environmental health risks through cutting-edge monitoring solutions.”
