Gore has always valued honest and open interactions with its end users. At HSM Live Scotland Gore will be demonstrating two key arc rated product offerings for the electrical engineering and utility markets and discussing the benefits of GORE-TEX PYRAD Stretch jackets and trousers and PYRAD switch suit by GORE-TEX LABS.

Arc rated GORE-TEX PYRAD Stretch jackets and trousers are a technical fusion of stretch foul weather arc rated Class 2 protection with outstanding wearer comfort and are multi-norm compliant.  They provide 50% more stretch than other existing products currently available and are 45% lighter than other Class 2 arc protection rainwear.

PYRAD switch suit by GORE-TEX LABS protect workers when there is any risk of arc flash incidents: IEC 61482-1-2 Class 2 and IEC 61482-1-1 APTV ≥40cal/cm². These suits are engineered using the only single-ply Class 2/ 40 cal solution currently available and consist of bib trousers, jacket and hood, which are worn together. The end user benefits include a lightweight, less bulky, flexible and breathable safety solution. 

Within footwear – Gore launched its EXTRAGUARD Upper Product Technology to its manufacturing brand partners three years ago. Gore was responding to end user feedback and worker demand for robust, waterproof, and protective four-season footwear which could be permanently lightweight and comfortable to wear. Gore’s EXTRAGUARD Upper Technology answers all these demands and combines all the advantages of leather with those of sustainable textile upper materials within an intelligent 3-layer construction.
