Award winning performance features in the new SHOWA 4561 cut resistant glove
14 May 2018
Hand protection specialist Globus has further enhanced its leading portfolio of safety gloves with the introduction of the new SHOWA 4561.
Tested to the new EN388: 2016 standard delivering level D cut resistance, the new 4561 also features ZORB-IT technology, which is said to provide outstanding grip in oily conditions due to an extra absorbent nitrile coating.
The combination of features makes it ideally suited to workers in the automotive, construction, glass & glazing, oil and gas, metal working, utilities and engineering sectors where there are significant cut hazards. It also offers abrasion and contact heat resistance, whilst at the same time delivering excellent levels of dexterity and comfort.
Winner of the DuPont Kevlar Glove Innovation Award, the new SHOWA 4561 glove is manufactured using SHOWA’s engineered yarn technology. The result is a glove that is flexible, lightweight and comfortable whilst delivering Level D certified cut resistance.
The addition of SHOWA's patented ZORB-IT grip technology allows users to maintain a stronger grip in oily and wet conditions without sacrificing safety, due to the unique way the coating on the palm and fingers absorbs and transfers oil across the surface more effectively when compared to other nitrile coatings, Globus says.
Ergonomically designed, the SHOWA 4561 replicates the hands’ natural curves for easy movement and comfortable, continuous wear. Additionally, the breathable 15-gauge liner allows warm air and moisture from inside to escape, keeping the hands of users dry.
“The new SHOWA 4561 is a fantastic addition to our portfolio of hand protection solutions. Its ergonomic design combined with cut and abrasion resistance thanks to the use of technical fibres deliver a wealth of benefits to wearers across a wide range of sectors where cut and abrasion hazards are commonplace,” said Gregory Tessier, Globus hand protection product manager.
