DuPont Tyvek - 50 years of scientific innovation in the service of protection
23 October 2017
There are millions of people around the world today whose wellbeing is testimony to the superior protection properties of DuPont Tyvek garments.

Over the last 50 years, Tyvek technology has played a considerable role in protecting those who protect others: examples include the healthcare staff in West Africa dealing with the Ebola virus and the workers involved in the clean-up operation following the tsunami in Japan, including the Fukushima nuclear power station.
Can a single material help protect workers’ lives? Can it help battle the spread of a deadly disease? If the material in question is DuPont Tyvek, the answer is “yes.”
Designed in 1967, DuPont Tyvek is a non-woven material that has revolutionised the limited use chemical protection garment market thanks to its combination of exceptional properties: chemical barrier, durability and breathability.
