Education scheme supports future workers
13 April 2017
Alcumus, the provider of technology-enabled business assurance and compliance risk management solutions, has partnered with the University of South Wales (USW) to assist with its new initiative – the USW Exchange.
The USW Exchange is an education scheme engaging with and providing invaluable knowledge and experience to students, supporting the future generation of entrepreneurs and business tycoons. The new advice hub, based at the University of South Wales (USW) Treforest Campus, offers work experience opportunities and employer events for students and graduates, provides expert support to start-ups and aims to help existing SMEs and social enterprises achieve their growth ambitions.
With around 12% of its employees having attended the university, Alcumus has an ongoing relationship with USW. To support the programme, Alcumus has enlisted a panel of its own experts to speak at future events on topics such as business assurance and compliance risk management.
Martin Smith, Alcumus CEO, last year received USW’s Distinguished Alumni Award and said: “We’re extremely proud to partner with USW and pleased that we can help the USW Exchange. As part of the USW Alumni, this is an ideal way for us to support the next generation of future workers.”
