Insurance cover partnership

09 December 2016

SafeContractor and Towergate have announced a partnership to offer insurance cover to the 27,000 members of SafeContractor’s health and safety accreditation scheme.

The scheme, Alcumus SafeContractor Insurance Service – powered by Towergate, will give members, from sole traders to large organisations, access to tailored insurance. For companies with fewer than 10 employees we are delighted to offer a bespoke quote-and-buy journey and for companies of all sizes, advice from an 80-strong network of Towergate advisory branches.

Alyn Franklin, Chief Operating Officer, Alcumus Group, said:
“SafeContractor’s aim is to ensure its members have access to business-critical products and services that we believe are better value for money than those they would ordinarily select on the open market. Adequate insurance is essential to protect our contractors, something we want to ensure that our entire membership base benefits from. By partnering with Towergate we are able to express the needs of our members very clearly and ensure that the insurance products being offered will be fit for purpose for the work activities being undertaken.

“Towergate has a very strong reputation across the industry. With national presence and extensive experience in the key sectors that SafeContractor operates in it was always clear that Towergate presented a powerful proposition. Once discussions commenced to find a suitable solution we found Towergate very professional and proactive. They were the obvious choice for us.”

Towergate Insurance Broking CEO, Janice Deakin, said:
“As a multi-channel organisation we pride ourselves in being able to put our customers first by providing cover in the best way to suit their individual needs and this is exactly what we’re doing with our new partners, SafeContractor. We are offering all members bespoke insurance products and access to a panel of insurers who provide specialist, tailored cover and great customer service as quickly and effectively as possible.”
