Alcumus merges health and safety schemes
19 September 2016
Alcumus’ health and safety accreditation scheme ContractorPlus is set to merge into its market-leading SafeContractor scheme, thereby simplifying the number of health and safety assessment schemes available to both contractors and clients.

Following the merger, there will be benefits for both contractors and clients of the scheme including cost savings as a result of only needing to join one scheme, reduced administration and paperwork and an increased number of contractors visible to an increased number of clients.
As the UK’s fastest growing health and safety accreditation scheme, SafeContractor has taken another big step towards becoming the industry leading accreditation service as a result of this merger.
Former ContractorPlus members will also now enjoy the advantages offered by the SafeContractor member benefits package. The SafeContractor scheme offers not only health & safety expertise, but also adds value to each contractor with a package full of trade discounts and preferential rates on services that support their business. Recent additions to this package include access to domestic work across the UK via Rated People, competitive insurance products from Towergate Insurance and discounted car hire services provided by Nexus.
The official launch for the merger is 4th October 2016.
