Improved railway access
23 January 2015
As part of a £500,000 station refurbishment project, leading supplier of Kee Klamp fittings, Kee Systems, provided Hayle Railway Station in Cornwall with a combination of Weld Mesh Panels, Kee Access and Kee Klamp fittings to ensure safe pedestrian access.
Powder coated in vibrant yellow to clearly mark pedestrian routes, the Kee Access and Kee Klamp fittings create a smooth, continuous handrail that is fully compliant with DDA legislation and has enabled the provision of better, safer access for all travellers at Hayle Station.
Kevin Burrows, site manager at Raymond Brown Construction which installed the fittings, said: "We are always impressed by how quickly and easily the fittings can be installed on site, which makes for an extremely cost effective solution."
The Weld Mesh Panels work as an effective screen against litter and can also be used to segregate areas as required.
