Golf and Games

02 October 2014

A total of 28 golfers took to the pristine PGA course at 1.30pm eager to impress and be crowned the winner of the BSIF Golf Tournament.

Teams of four teed off from different tees to ensure an enjoyable day of golf. Alan Murray, kept a close eye on proceedings zipping around the course on a golf buggy and ferrying late arrivals and a curious PR consultant who couldn’t get her head around how big The Belfry actually is.

The golf trophy was hotly contested with Nick Murray of Bunzl Safety Services taking the overall plaudits with a score of 38 points. Mark Johnstone, JSP and Ian Marin, Arco both scored 35 points but Ian was placed second on count back.

Over on the country pursuits course, teams competed in archery, laser clay pigeon shooting and human table football. It’s amazing how much fun can be had from firing laser guns and shooting arrows at big targets placed on large straw bales. Some competitors were slightly injured in the human table football but a drink or two at the bar afterwards mended all.

The triumphant team was made up of representatives from 3M, UBM and The McOnie Agency.
