Valve versatility
01 October 2014
Smith Flow Control says its EasiDrive portable valve actuator is possibly the most versatile valve operation tool available.

Carried in a rucksack, it is designed for use with valves requiring a large number of turns, or which are otherwise difficult to operate because of high torque or harsh climate conditions.
With the EasiDrive the operator has absolute control when opening and closing different sized valves with varying torque requirements. One person can efficiently drive multiple valves with a single tool.
The EasiDrive is described as a low cost alternative to permanent actuators and no permanent power supply is required. The actuator has a wide band torque capability with variable torque adjustment as standard. Suited for moving tight or partially-seized valves, it is adaptable to any size/type of valve.
There is no ‘kickback’ and the variable output torque eliminates damage to valves by ‘over-torquing’. Fully portable, the device is designed to reduce work crew tasks to a one-man operation.
Powered by air, electricity or battery, EasiDrive can be custom designed for specific site requirements.
