50 years of service
02 May 2014
Terry Heddon, a crane service technician with leading lifting equipment manufacturer, Konecranes, is in a celebratory mood after being presented with a 50-year long service award.

In recognition of his achievement, and as part of Konecranes’ long service award scheme, Terry was presented with a watch, framed certificate and personlised letter from Konecranes’ President and CEO, Pekka Lundmark.
Based at Konecranes’ centralised Service District facility in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, 67-year old Terry today helps support the ongoing national service contract that the company enjoys with Direct Rail Services, primarily at their sites in Bridgwater and Berkeley. Having started his career in the early 1960s having served his time as a fitter/machinist, Terry has spent almost his entire working life working with any manner of cranes and lifting equipment. And having ‘enjoyed every minute’, it remains very much business as usual, as Terry has no plans to retire.
