Forklift Operations course has been
shortlisted in the Safety Practices
category at IMHX's Design 4 Safety
Awards 2013 for its contribution to
the promotion of safety awareness
and incident reduction.
The course aims to eliminate the potential missing link between providing operator training and achieving a safe working environment. Unlike employees who regularly use forklift trucks, managers and supervisors are not required to be qualified forklift operators - a potentially dangerous knowledge gap. The course covers relevant legislation, responsibilities under law, potential penalties and key safety principles such as stability characteristics and pre-shift checks.
