With more companies ensuring
environments are safe and clean by
replacing old, potentially unsafe
mats with a lift and lay service, floor
mat provider Cannon Hygiene is
reported to be the first company of
its kind in the UK to ensure none of
the old mats go to landfill.
Cannon Hygiene's sustainability director, Adrian Shuker clarifies the significance of this decision: "We have worked very hard with our suppliers Milliken to ensure our mats are 100% recycled, and given the thousands of customers we service this represents a significant step forward in reducing landfill.
We have just sent our first consignment of approximately two tonnes of old mats to the processing plant and expect this to become a regular occurrence."
