The BSIF has a special talent for combining with government agencies to develop initiatives designed to broaden awareness of good practice. Capitalising on the relationships enjoyed by BSIF members with their customers and (in conjunction with the Environment Agency) an industry sector report has now been published which is focused on the transportation of liquids. This web based report contains the latest advice from the Environment Agency on how to set up and manage a programme to reduce the risk of environmental damage resulting from spills and leaks of hazardous chemicals, together with practical information from major transport companies and chemical suppliers.
