SHW Live North returns to Manchester Central

SHW Live North takes place at Manchester Central on 23-24 January. There are plenty of reasons to visit this must-attend event and here's some of them.

AFTER HUGE growth in 2023, SHW Live North will be making a much-anticipated return to Manchester Central on 23-24 January 2024. This live, in-person event is coming back bigger and better in 2024, with a host of brand-new exhibitors, event features and speakers. Read on to learn what you can expect from the event.

Professionals responsible for health, safety and wellbeing within their organisations are invited to register their attendance to discover the latest innovations, enhance their professional knowledge, discuss industry trends, and build important relationships with other industry professionals in the community.

The event will champion excellence in workplace safety and occupational health, as well as inspiring improved standards in mental health and wellbeing. This unique regional event is designed to enable OSH communities to shift the dial on health and safety culture in the workplace.

The two-day event, which is free-to-attend, promises a packed line up of industry-leading exhibiting brands, networking opportunities, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for all delegates.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about the latest regulatory changes and work being undertaken to improve health and safety culture in the workplace. Topics covered will include sustainability in the industry, post pandemic working and the challenge it poses to health and wellbeing, alongside mental health discussions, and the evolving workplace health culture.

SHW Live will also feature a free networking drinks reception open to all visitors and exhibitors alike.

Delivered in collaboration with The Health and Safety Executive, all event partners have continued their support for this third edition of SHW Live North, including IOSH, NEBOSH, British Safety Council, BOHS, IIRSM, Safety Groups UK, UKATA, Institute of Medicine, No Falls Foundation and Safety4Good.

The show is organised by an experienced team of professionals at What Else Events. With over 20 years’ experience delivering the highest quality exhibitions and conferences for OSH professionals.

Connecting the OSH community

SHW Live is unique in its offering, connecting regional occupational safety and health professionals in the North of the UK. The event, which is taking place at Manchester Central, presents an easily accessible, in-person occasion for the industry.

Supported by the OSH Industry

Numerous industry-leading bodies, regulators and councils have pledged their support for the two-day exhibition and conference event as event partners. Organisers are supported by an experienced Advisory Council, which includes some of the UK’s most influential voices in occupational safety and health. 

The council comprises more than 20 accomplished professionals, representing some of the most respected industry bodies, including the British Safety Council, British Occupational Hygiene Society and NEBOSH.

To achieve the goal of delivering the highest-quality event of its type, organisers are proud to be working in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive. HSE will be hosting sessions in the SHW Keynote Theatre and the all new Wellbeing Hub. Experts from HSE will also be attending the show to offer guidance and support to delegates.

In addition, following on from a hugely successful collaboration in 2022 and 2023 and at Manchester Central early in the year, event organisers are again working closely with IOSH to offer learning and networking opportunities to members and non-members alike at Manchester Central.

The Keynote Theatre will focus on looking forward to the future, whilst the HSM Knowledge Hub looks at the here and now.
