Passive Fire Protection Arena at Fire Safety Event
07 September 2021
The ASSOCIATION for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has announced an exciting expansion of its partnership with The Fire Safety Event, which will see it play host to a new Passive Fire Protection Arena.
The Fire Safety Event is the UK’s largest and fastest growing exhibition in the fire sector and is hosted annually at the NEC, Birmingham. The event is uniquely co-located with The Health & Safety Event, The Facilities Event, The Security Event, The National Cyber Security Show and also The Emergency Services Show.
The ASFP has been a key supporter of the Fire Safety Event since the event’s inception in 2018 and will once again play a key role when the event opens its doors on 7-9 September 2021, when it hosts the ASFP Tall Buildings Theatre.
Passive Fire Protection Arena
Based on the success of this partnership, ASFP and The Fire Safety Event have now signed a multi-year agreement to create a new Passive Fire Protection Arena at the event starting in 2022. The new Arena will feature a collection of ASFP members centralised in one place and its centrepiece will be the Passive Fire Conference, which will put on CPD accredited educational content that’s curated by ASFP.
Passive fire protection has never been more prevalent in the wake of the independent review of the building regulations and fire safety and the newly proposed Building Safety Bill. The new Passive Fire Protection Area will be a leading platform for promoting the importance of passive fire protection and give visitors to the Fire Safety Event hands-on access to the latest passive fire protection products as well as key guidance on the latest regulation changes.
ASFP chief executive officer Steve Davies shared his excitement about extending the association’s partnership with The Fire Safety Event, he said, ”All at ASFP are thrilled to be partnering with the Fire Safety Event to create the opportunity to get back to face to face support in Passive Fire Safety. With the issues of the last 16 months and the amount of work the industry has to do ASFP staff will be delighted to welcome you to the event on 7-9 September. Come and meet the team and take the opportunity to get up to speed with the latest developments in Passive Fire.”
Event director of the Fire Safety Event Tristan Norman explained that many ASFP members already exhibit at the event, but this new agreement will but an even greater focus on passive fire protection for the 2022 event, which will see delegates have access to the largest number of passive fire protection companies at a UK event.
“We are thrilled to be continuing and growing our partnership with the ASFP for 2022 and beyond, Passive Fire is such a critical and growing sector for the Fire Industry and our event I am really excited to be able to have the ASFP’s input right from the start of our 2022 floorplan design to be able to create the Passive Fire Protection Arena. This gives us the opportunity to create a natural ‘home’ for all the passive companies who participate in the event surrounding the new and increased Passive Fire Conference which will be a key Highlight of the 2022 event.
The Fire Safety Event takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on 7-9 September 2021 and is free-to-attend. You can find out full details on the event or register for your free delegate pass at www.firesafetyevent.com
