Cloud-connected area monitor on show at A+A

07 November 2019

Having already set about changing the face of gas detection and safety wearables, Blackline Safety now has set its sights on disrupting another market – area monitoring.

According to Blackline Safety, the G7 EXO is the world’s first cloud-connected area monitor with integrated 2G/3G/4G communications, a 100+ day run-time, 10-second gas readings plus cellular and satellite connectivity. From the moment it is turned on, it automatically connects directly to the Blackline Safety Cloud, delivering a complete situational view to businesses. Applications include facilities, maintenance projects, tank farms, perimeter monitoring, drilling rigs and disaster response.

The G7 EXO enables companies to gain control over their projects, no matter what scenario is playing out before them.

Visitors to A+A in Düsseldorf (5-8 November 2019), will be able to view the G7EXO in Hall 7A, stand C02.

Blackline Safety says that until now, conventional area monitors have suffered short battery life, limited configurability and inadequate connectivity. The company has opened its G7 EXO Early Access programme to businesses around the world, defining a new era in area monitoring.

“Blackline Safety worked closely with key customers to define the expectations for our new G7 EXO area monitor family,” says Sean Stinson, VP Sales and Product Management. “As we prepare for shipments in early 2020, our G7 EXO Early Access programme enables businesses to be the first to experience the latest direct-to-cloud area monitoring technology prior to launch. To support customers’ procurement planning, G7 EXO Early Access delivers the critical hands-on evaluation with one-on-one support directly from our product development team.”

G7 EXO specifications include:

  • Drop-and-go area monitoring with 2G/3G/4G LTE cellular and optional Iridium satellite connectivity
  • Long runtime with over 100 days of battery life
  • 10-second gas readings that are supported by Blackline Analytics cloud-based software
  • Automatic configuration from the Blackline Safety Cloud
  • Intelligent zones that notify workers in the area of gas-based hazards
  • The same, broad lineup of G7 plug-and-play gas sensor cartridges as G7 wearables
  • Diffusion operation with the option of a four-channel pump to remotely sample air from confined spaces
  • Optional 24/7 live monitoring by Blackline Safety’s network of Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs)

G7 EXO works alongside employees equipped with G7 wearable monitors. Both systems continuously stream location and gas reading data to the Blackline Safety Cloud, providing a full situational overview of a business’ workforce and facility, or disaster response location. With integrated connectivity, a live team stands by, ready to respond to an emergency or evacuate teams from dangers that can be seen and those that are hidden from view.

At A+A 2019 on 5-8 November in Düsseldorf, Germany, Blackline Safety Europe will be showcasing G7 EXO alongside Blackline Analytics reporting and its entire G7 portfolio. Visit Hall 7A, Stand C02 to meet the team and learn more about how G7 EXO will help enterprises move their gas detection programme into the next decade.
