New Multi-Course Functionality and Authoring Tool for Cardinus’ Health, Safety, Risk and Compliance E-Learning Suite
11 July 2018
Cardinus has expanded their e-learning offering by launching new multi-course functionality, an authoring tool and a fresh new look for their courses and risk assessments.

Andy Hawkes, CEO, commented, “following on from the recent successful launch of Healthy Working we have now added the multi-course functionality and authoring tool. As we move forward we will add new courses to provide a wide range of validated content as well as enabling our clients to build their own courses.”
Cardinus has worked with experts to not only create a fresher look for users, but also to improve courses, helping users gain a better understanding of risks, with the employer achieving better compliance rates, a reduction in risk and lowers costs.
The upgrade has also enabled Cardinus to bring in many more elements within the courses, such as new tests, risk assessments and profiling, which will ensure that learning is more relevant and memorisable.
All updated e-learning and risk assessment courses send data back to Cardinus’ PACE management software. This data now sits in one place, making it a simpler for administrators to understand their levels of risk, manage high and medium risk individuals and deliver further training.
Huge overhaul of courses and functionality
The deployment of the new multi-course functionality, and the major course refresh, is Cardinus’ largest software and functionality deployment since Healthy Working was launched in 2016. Healthy Working, written in partnership with the HSE’s Health and Safety Laboratory, has quickly become a leader in DSE and office ergonomics software.
The courses that have been updated so far include:
- Bribery and Corruption Awareness
- DSE Assessor
- Ergonomic Risk Assessment
- Fire Safety
- Fraud Prevention Essentials
- Health and Safety Induction
- Healthy Working
- Laboratory Ergonomics
- Manual Handling for the Office
- Manual Handling
- Safety for Line Managers
Before the end of the year Cardinus seek to augment their refreshed courses by updating the rest of the existing courses and extending the range with new courses in travel safety, lone working, slips, trips and falls, and many more. The total range will reach up to 20 by the end of 2018.
This range will also be buffered by an e-learning Authoring Tool, that enables customers to write and bring in their own content into the Cardinus system using an easy-to-follow WYSISYG tool. The tool helps customers to massively expand their own courses where they have niche requirements, such as policies and procedures, or in the case of specific risks to their organisation.
Jon Abbott, Global Client Director added, “2018 is an exciting year for Cardinus and will ensure that we cement our place in the safety e-learning market. Healthy Working has revolutionised DSE and ergonomics e-learning and risk assessment, and with the new suite of tools and expanded functionality, Cardinus’ product line aims to do the same”
