Five new safety shoe models

22 August 2017

Ejendals has launched its new JALAS collection – the Exalter² safety shoe, starting with five models.

JALAS product manager Juho Järvinen said: "The key functions of our new collection consist of a high degree of safety, ergonomics, comfort and superior grip."

The new Exalter² collection boasts an oil-resistant, antistatic, heat-resistant sole made from nitrile rubber. The sole’s specially designed pattern helps to repel water, snow and dirt. The arch also ensures improved safety on steps.

"Our development project, carried out in association with Vibram, has resulted in a sole that offers excellent performance in terms of ergonomics and grip," Juho added. "The sole is also designed to provide optimal support and flexibility."

Users who are on their feet all day need comfortable protective shoes that provide support and shock absorption. The insole is made with a new construction, FX3. It has three functional shock absorption zones and is built up of several layers, each with a unique function.

The end result is described by Juho as "a supremely comfortable and functional sole that protects the wearer against impact and pressure".

The Exalter² collection's upper design and material is highly breathable. It has a lining made from hygienic polyamide, with antibacterial treatment to prevent unpleasant odours. The shoes are available in protection classes 01, S1 and S3. The different models conform to the requirements of either EN ISO 20345:2011 or EN ISO 20347:2012.
