Technical director appointment
10 October 2016
Lift safety and communication specialist Avire has appointed Michael Stembridge as its new technical director. Michael will assume product development responsibility for the global Avire organisation.

Michael said: "I’m very excited to have joined Avire, a company with a clear strategy to grow by delivering ‘best in class’ products for its customers. My goal is simple - I want our customers to say ‘Wow!’ when they use our new products. As an innovator myself, I can’t wait to start that creative work with Avire’s great engineering teams. Interesting times certainly await.”
Michael has a first-class honours degree in Electronic Engineering from Bolton University and 25 years’ experience in three major defence and communication organisations: Imtech Traffic and Infrastructure, Racal Acoustics Ltd and Ultra Electronics.
Michael takes over from Karl Westhead, who has moved to fellow Halma company Apollo Fire Detectors.
