Sustainability report
12 October 2015
Crown, the material handling company, has released a new ecologic report that underscores the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

The report highlights Crown’s recent global efforts to minimise waste, manage energy use, and maximise product and facility lifespan. It can be downloaded at crown.com.
The report also emphasises Crown’s efforts to explore and implement ecologically conscious practices in every facet of its business, illustrating a commitment to employees, communities and customers. Successes include the redevelopment of more than half a million square metres of brownfield space to date, five facilities achieving zero landfill status. The company also collaborates with suppliers to improve the supply chain through optimised logistics that increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
According to Brian Duffy, Crown’s director of corporate environmental and manufacturing safety, a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability has always been an inherent part of Crown’s business. From product design to truck operation, Crown makes important decisions that reduce its environmental footprint through increased energy efficiency, lean business processes, smart resource consumption and elimination of waste.
