Briggs sponsors safety award
14 August 2015
Materials handling specialist Briggs Equipment is helping to promote safety in the workplace by sponsoring the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) 2015 ‘Safety Champion' Award.
The Award will acknowledge an individual who makes a commitment to improve safety practices, for those working with and around forklifts and other lifting equipment, even when they are challenged by those who are resistant to change.
Briggs Equipment supports the FLTA in finding and recognising these people, who often play a vital role in encouraging others to make safety improvements at their site.
Briggs Equipment's marketing manager, Sally Baker, says: "As a company we are committed to helping share best practice, and safe working in the materials handling industry is so important. We are delighted to support the FLTA in its efforts to recognise those people who go the extra mile to reduce risk and work safely."
The ‘Safety Champion' Award will be presented at the FLTA's National Safety Conference at Loughborough University which takes place on September 23.
