Environmental sustainability
23 June 2015
RRC is supporting IEMA’s 'All Jobs Greener’ initiative by offering the institute’s range of Environmental Sustainability courses.
To quote IEMA: "Globally, a new business model is emerging, in which leading organisations are considering environmental impacts across the entire value chain of the organisation.”
More and more businesses are finding that environmental sustainability makes good business sense. Sustainable thinking in the way products and materials are designed, manufactured, procured, distributed and sold results in the use of fewer resources and leads to more successful and profitable businesses.
To really make the most of the benefits environmental sustainability can bring, organisations need to make a radical change in the way their people think, and engage all staff at all levels in the process.
An IEMA-certified training course is a very good place to start. There are three options:
- Leading with environmental sustainability – half-day workshop for business leaders to help them formulate effective strategy
- Managing with environmental sustainability – two-day course providing managers and supervisors with knowledge and understanding of the strategic and operational implications environment and sustainability have for them, their team, and their department
- Working with environmental sustainability – one-day course providing all staff with a practical introduction to the environment and sustainability.
These courses are suitable for any sector and can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of any organisation. RRC offers all three courses and is happy to discuss cost effective strategies for rolling them out across any business.
