Legal updates
08 April 2015
New legal registers and online data services are enabling Rosti UK, a precision injection moulding firm, to improve compliance with stringent safety and environmental legislation.
Produced by online specialists Cedrec, the registers are seen by Rosti as a significant benefit towards accreditation to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, enabling quality engineer Caroline Callaghan and her colleagues to improve their ability to implement and manage legislation at the Larkhall site in Scotland, where 150 people are employed producing plastic components for some of the world's leading automotive brands.
The registers, which are updated three times a year, provide an accessible, definitive source for the requisite legislation covering Rosti UK's operations. This spans employer liability and incident and accident reporting through to more niche legal requirements governing lifting, working at height, the use and storage of hazardous substances, and environmental responsibilities.
Caroline Callaghan said: "Having comprehensive, easy to understand information is enabling us to stay abreast of changes to even the smallest piece of legislation, while identifying those areas where operational or technical improvements can be made during any audit of our safety and environmental processes.
