FR clothing range
14 July 2014
Arco has developed a range of FR (flame retardant) garments for those at risk of exposure to heat and flame in the workplace.
Under new brand ArcoPro, all products offer multi-norm protection, comply with the Category III requirements of the European PPE Directive, and have been designed and developed to excel in the most strenuous of safety tests.
Arco’s product experts have developed a layering system that provides increased levels of protection from heat and flame hazards. The range includes base layer, mid-layer, coveralls and outerwear garments that offer a choice of protection levels to suit a range of budgets.
Arco is said to be the first distributor in the industry to test its garment combinations using both Thermo Mannequin and TTP testing. These rigorous tests were applied to 45 combinations of fabric used in the manufacture of ArcoPro garments.
Arco’s investment in this extensive testing programme will help wearers to identify which combination of garments offers the best protection for their working environment and how protection can be maximised. Arco’s Expert Guide to Flame Retardant Clothing will be available to download free on www.arco.co.uk/FR.
