Toyota Material Handling UK is
launching a new campaign focused
on helping customers understand
Thorough Examination, a procedure
which helps ensure consistent, high
national standards for safe, genuine
and regular examinations of forklift
trucks in line with PUWER and
LOLER regulations.
It's a legal requirement for forklift trucks and lifting equipment but according to Toyota, many customers are unsure what Thorough Examination entails and who is responsible for making sure equipment meets legislation. Over the coming months Toyota will provide information to companies about Thorough Examination and run an internal education campaign with team members. A team of Toyota examiners accredited by CFTS will be on hand across the country to offer local support.
